Dooley

(Mitchell F. Jayne, Rodney Dillard)
Lansdowne Music Publishers/ASCAP, Winston Music Publishers /ASCAP

Dooley was a good ole manHe lived below the millDooley had two daughtersAnd a forty-gallon still
One gal watched the boilerThe other watched the spoutMama corked the bottlesAnd ole Dooley fetched ’em out.

Dooley slippin’ up the hollerDooley try to make a dollarDooley give me a swallerAnd I’ll pay you back someday.

The revenuers came for himslippin’ though the woodsDooley kept behind them allAnd never lost his goods
Dooley was a traderWhen into town he’d comeSugar by the bushelAnd molasses by the ton.

Dooley slippin’ up the hollerDooley try to make a dollarDooley gimme a swallerAnd I’ll pay you back someday.

I remember very wellThe day ole Dooley diedThe women folk looked sorryAnd the men stood round and cried
Now Dooley’s on the mountainHe lies there all aloneThey put a jug beside himAnd a barrel for his stone.

Dooley slippin’ up the hollerDooley try to make a dollarDooley gimme a swallerAnd I’ll pay you back someday.
And I’ll pay you back someday.
Nobody Knows

(Mitchell F. Jayne, Rodney Dillard)
Lansdowne Music Publishers/ASCAP, Winston Music Publishers /ASCAP

Nobody knowsNobody ever knowsNo one ever knows when things wont’ stay the sameShe’s in love with youAnd you know you love her tooThere will come a time when she won’t know your name
There’s a lot of things that die every time the day goes byThere’s a lot of things people can’t explain
You can be in love todayMeaning every word you sayKnowing when tomorrow comes the words you say will be a lie

Nobody knowsNobody ever knowsNo one ever knows why love must go awayWe played the gamesAnd never really understoodNever really understand the games we play

Nobody knowsNobody ever knowsNo one knows when things won’t stay the sameShe’s in love with youAnd you know you love her tooThere will come a time when she won’t know your name
Across The Great Divide

Words & Music by: Kate Allen Wolf
Another Sundown Pub/BMI

I’ve been walkin’ in my sleep Countin’ troubles instead of countin’ sheep Where the years went I can’t say I just turned around and they’ve gone away
And I’ve been siftin’ through the layers Of dusty books and faded papers That tell a story I used to know It was one that happened so long ago

It’s gone away yesterday And I find myself on the mountainside Where the rivers change direction Across the Great Divide

Well I heard the owl a-callin’ Softly as the night was fallin’ With a question and I replied But, he’s gone across the borderline

He’s gone away yesterday And I find myself on the mountainside Where the rivers change direction Across the Great Divide

The finest hour I have seen Is the one that comes between The edge of night and the break of day It’s when the darkness rolls away

It’s gone away yesterday And I find myself on the mountainside Where the rivers change direction Across the Great Divide

It’s gone away yesterday And I find myself on the mountainside Where the rivers change direction Across the Great Divide
(Your Love Has Lifted Me) Higher & Higher

CHEVIS Publishing Corp/ASCAP, MIJAC Music/BMI, Warner-Tamerlaine Publishing Corp/BMI

Your love keeps on lifting me higher, higher and higherSo keep it it upQuench my desireAnd I’ll be at your side, forever more

You know your love (your love keeps lifting me)Keeps on lifting me (keeps on lifting me)Higher (your love keeps lifting me)Higher and higher (keeps on lifting me)
So keep it up (your love keeps lifting me)
Keep on (keeps on lifting me)
lifting (your love keeps lifting me)
higher and higher (keeps on lifting me)

Now once, I was down-heartedDisappointment, was my closest friendBut then you, came and it soon departedAnd you know he neverShowed his face again

You know your love (your love keeps lifting me)Keeps on lifting me (keeps on lifting me)Higher (your love keeps lifting me)Higher and higher (keeps on lifting me)
So keep it up (your love keeps lifting me)
Keep on (keeps on lifting me)
lifting (your love keeps lifting me)
higher and higher (keeps on lifting me)

I’m so glad, I’ve finally found youYou’re that one in a million man
When you wrap your lovin’ arms around me
I can stand up and face the world

You know your love (your love keeps lifting me)Keeps on lifting me (keeps on lifting me)Higher (your love keeps lifting me)Higher and higher (keeps on lifting me)
So keep it up (your love keeps lifting me)
Keep on (keeps on lifting me)
lifting (your love keeps lifting me)
higher and higher (keeps on lifting me)

Your love keeps lifting me
Keeps on lifting me
Your love keeps lifting me (your love keeps lifting me)
Higher (keeps on lifting me)
You know your love (your love keeps lifting me)
Keeps on lifting me (keeps on lifting me)
Higher (your love keeps lifting me)
higher and higher (keeps lifting me)

I say your love keeps on lifting me (your love keeps lifting me)
Higher (keeps on lifting me)
Higher and higher (your love keeps lifting me, keeps on lifting me)
Keep it up (your love keeps lifting me)
Keep on (keeps on lifting me)
Lifting (your love keeps lifting me)
Higher and Higher

Wait A Minute

Words & Music by: Herb Pedersen
Herb Pedersen, Dear Friends Music/ASCAP

Wait a minute did I hear you say you’re going far away again
Try to change it I can’t take the lonely nights without your love

Doin’ the road to get the music done and move along
What good does it do to play your songs for him and hear him say

Wait a minute did I hear you say you’re going far away again
Try to change it I can’t take the lonely nights without your love

You’re rolling along and life’s been good to you and even so
He comes to you late at night’s the time you hear him say

Wait a minute did I hear you say you’re going far away again
Try to change it I can’t take the lonely nights without your love

Waiting for you thirty days and nights without a rest
I’ve gotta hold on twenty-four to go once again

Wait a minute did I hear you say you’re going far away again
Try to change it I can’t take the lonely nights without your love

Wait a minute did I hear you say you’re going far away again
Try to change it I can’t take the lonely nights without your love

If I Never Wake Up Again / Twist The Knife

Words & Music by: Debra Lyn
DebraLynMusic/SESAC

I’ve got a bottle of tequila and a handful of salt
The first one I’ll drink to you
The second will help to ease my mind
By the fifth I won’t remember your name
And I may dance on the tables
Dance ‘cross the floor
I might even forget why I came
But, the only way you’ll be truly gone
Is if I never wake up again

Don’t try to let me down easy
Don’t try to change my state of mind
Just twist the knife a little deeper
Maybe you’ll kill me this time

Well I know all the rumors
I’m not deaf and I’m not blind
Why don’t you leave me for that other
Or find a way to change my mind

Don’t try to let me down easy
Don’t try to change my state of mind
Just twist the knife a little deeper
Maybe you’ll kill me this time

Well I don’t want you for my friend
Cause friends don’t do friends this way
Make up your mind to be leavin’
Or make your mind up to stay

Don’t try to let me down easy
Don’t try to change my state of mind
Just twist the knife a little deeper
Maybe you’ll kill me this time

Then your prayers will be answered
Maybe mine will be too
There’s no use in living
This life you’re puttin’ me through

Don’t try to let me down easy
Don’t try to change my state of mind
Just twist the knife a little deeper
Maybe you’ll kill me this time

Just twist that knife a little deeper
Maybe you’ll kill me this time

You're Gonna Leave

Words & Music by: Debra Lyn
DebraLynMusic/SESAC

It’s too late, I can’t fall any farther
Now you say it was a mistake
You don’t know what to do
’cause I still love you

And I know that it’s just not right
In the middle of a sleepless night
I turn around and I cover my head
Forget the words you said
And you want me to forget you
But, all I do is remember
You loved me then, love me again
I still want you, but you’re gonna leave

It’s my time, I’ll waste it if I want to
And you might finally realize
That you can make up your mind
But, you can’t change mine

And I know that it’s just not right
In the middle of a sleepless night
I turn around and I cover my head
Forget the words you said
And you want me to forget you
But, all I do is remember
You loved me then, love me again
I still want you, but you’re gonna leave

And you want me to forget you
But, all I do is remember
You loved me then, love me again
I still want you, but you’re gonna leave

I still love you, but you’re gonna leave
